CLASSES AT ELEMENTS

             Herbal Wellness Classes

Utilized as both food and medicine, herbs have played a major role in
promoting health in human beings since the dawn of time.  Much of the
traditional knowledge on the use of herbs varies with the season.  From a
holistic perspective, winter is ideally a time of restoration, of greater
introspection and rest.  The focus of herbs at this time is often to build
immunity and resistance, warm the digestive and circulatory systems, gently lift
the spirits, and to be prepared to face the potential challenges of cold and flu
season with natural approaches.

What was once common knowledge passed down
from empirical use has been lost to much
of today’s population.
Now an herbal renaissance is in full swing with
media blitz and sales skyrocketing as many
people seek out more natural and holistic options
for their well-being.
Yet confusion can often result about what herbs
are actually most appropriate and safe to use,
and how we go about using herbs effectively.
Let’s sort through the
hype to learn simple traditional approaches to
wise household herbal use.
